Arrival instructions: Arrive to Sasha Bruce Youth Network building and make your way to the left side of the building. The garden is located up the hill towards the wooden fences.
This event is for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) to support a historically Black community garden. White allies can support us by donationg for supplies and more!
Anyone can find a way to chip in from simply cleaning up debris to helping build new garden beds or a shed. That day we'll be:
- Assemble garden beds and remove severely damaged wood boards.
- Build a new tool shed to replace the old broken one.
- Add soil and fertilizer for new and existing plants.
Transportation is limited and available when you RSVP on a first come first served basis. We’ll reach out to you to confirm closer to the event.
Planting with Pride is presented by Beets Street Garden, Latinx History Project, Plantita Power, DC Food Power, and Latino Outdoors DMV.
