Find us in Shaw for this weekend meetup with Chef Karla Alonzo, a Guatemalan immigrant who escaped homophobia almost 20 years ago to start a restaurant and has earned a minor celebrity status in D.C.
Join in and learn directly from the Chef all about her migration story, the start of her chef journey, and her dreams for the future as a queer business woman.
This event will consist of:
An open Q&A session directly with Chef Alonzo
A live cooking demonstration from the Chef
The opportunity of tasting an amazingly authentic Guatemalan meal
